You look up, and before you is revealed a swirling mist of colors and shapes. Slowly, they stop to reveal a picture. A booming voice calls out, "Watch, learn the story and the truth behind the Legion of Sorrow!". The image changes to display the Dark Portal with its armies of demons pouring forth. The voice once again calls out:

"Long ago, before the Dark portal was opened, a race of shamanistic tribesman were tricked into serving a demonic force. They were given power and strength, but at an unimaginable cost. This race, known as the Orcs, had become but a pawn to a force that sought dominion over all things. This strength would aid them, but nearly led to their downfall.

The Dark Portal was opened, demons and their new servants, the orcs, poured forth. The quickly overtook the lands in front of them, enslaving and destroying everything in their path.

The flow of this army was eventually curbed, but still remains. The Orcs, now free, and many other races, have now united to battle this army. Not for domination, but for survival. Not a single soul lived on without feeling the touch of this invasion, and the world as they knew it was forever changed.

Two lone wanderers found a common path, traveling together. As they journied, their numbers grew. As their size increased, so did the deeds they preformed. Their little band quickly became a small unit, and in time an Army. And this is their story..."

Progression Team Update

I'd just like to take a moment to highlight some recent events and decisions so everyone is on the same page.

- Progression Team HAS NOT been selected yet. We are in an evaluation process at this time. The best thing you can do right now is to show up on time ready to raid and put your best effort forth. A few things to remember to ease your thoughts as far as what we're looking for are:

* Can you push 6k DPS as a DPS class (raid buffed)?

* Can you push 5k DPS as a hybrid class (raid buffed)?

* Can you be online ready for an invite at 6:30 (earliest) on Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays?

Those are just a few things we're looking at, attitude and ability to follow direction are also key.

- What does this mean for you if you aren't selected? We are still going to have 25 man raids that are open to everyone. The idea here, is to make sure that we can progress through the 25 man content with the same people and little to no shuffling so as to establish a solid base that we can build upon that will help everyone. Just because Progression Team is on Festergut doesn't mean we won't run ICC Lower Spire a second time for the folks who haven't had a chance to go. 90 percent of our officers have alts and can be present to help, and that is what we are aiming to do.

- The guild ranks are going to be used more efficiently in this endeavor as well. Anyone promoted to the rank of Knight is going to be considered a Progression Team member, if you see these promotions happening anytime soon don't be alarmed, we will schedule a guild meeting when we are going live with the Progression Team setup and most likely before that as well to answer any questions.
